Method of Shower Repair Waterproofing Conforms to AS 3740.
1. Remove existing wall tiles | 2. Removal of wall tiles and remove floor tiles |
3. Repair or replace broken wall sheeting if required |
4. Repair or replace broken wall sheeting if required |
5. Remove broken wall sheeting and replace with new. |
6. New wall sheeting installed, new mortar bed also installed |
7. Waterproofing to AS 3740 installed. | 8. New wall tiles and floor tiles installed prior to grouting. |
9. Floor and wall tiles grouted prior to cleaning. |
10. Reinstall shower screen. |
Bath not installed correctly.
12. Bath OR Moulded shower base not installed correctly –
Bath – When NO shower is installed over the bath, although not installed correctly, if a
suitable flexible seal between the bath and wall tiles is applied and maintained in a good
condition, no significant or major damage should result.
Bath – When a shower is installed over the bath, If a shower is installed over an incorrectly
installed bath it is considered a Defect and rectification is recommended.
Moulded Shower base – A moulded shower base is the same as a bath with a shower
installed over it. If installed as diagram A, below, then is a defect and requires rectification.

Bath not installed correctly, although not installed correctly, if a
